I am super happy to finally be able to tell you about the book I made together with the amazing Kitanie! It's a 32-page book in the style of those 'Where's Waldo?' books... It's full of mosaics and nearly all of the one million giraffes are in it! It took us a long time to get this book right and we went through a ton of revisions before we were happy.

The book is mostly giraffes, but I have written a short foreword for it. And it made sense to make that foreword available in different languages. We went for English, Norwegian and German. So the book is available in all of these languages.

You can order the book from all major book store and of course online. You can just show up in your local store and ask for it and they should be able to get it for you. There's more info on how to order it on the book page.

If you buy the book I hope you'll be able to find your giraffe! And that you have a lot of fun with it. It's been on my coffee table for a few weeks now and my guests love to look through it!

And don't worry about finances. I doubt I will ever make more money on the book than I've had expenses for the servers to run this project. (I am currently $1100 in the red.) But if I ever will, I promise to donate all of my income from the book to Doctors Without Borders.

Kusine Josefine: I got the book for Christmas. Does anyone know which giraffes are not in the book? Is it for example all the giraffes submitted after a certain date? I've searched a little for my giraffes - only a little, because it's very time consuming. One Million Giraffes: There's a bigger chance that your giraffe is there than it's not. I would estimate that 990 000 giraffes are in it. But colors have been changed to make the mosaics better. Just so you know! (written on the 1st of January 2010)

Yesterday was one of the best days of my life! I got the millionth giraffe and proved Jørgen wrong. Newlyweds and first time parents have nothing on me!
I am the happiest man alive!!!

Tonje, a 16 year old girl from Vågen VGS in Sandnes (Norway), made the millionth giraffe! Which means she won the Chumby!

I'm getting phone calls, text messages and emails every single minute now so things are very hectic, but I will try to write more on the blog soon! I just have to be very happy and dance around for a bit first!

Chris: That's awesome that you got to 1,000,000... But just out of curiosity... Why is the millionth giraffe only "id=67430", when the first giraffe is "id=1", the second "id=2", and so on? It seems like the millionth should be "id=1000000"... (written on the 1st of January 2010)
